Baños is located at the slopes of the active volcano Tungurahua. This colorful little village offers the visitors plenty activities, such as walks, horse back riding, bike riding, rafting, fun night life, etc.  to make your stay unforgettable.

The greatest current attraction, the Volcano Tungurahua, has been in active eruption for the past seven years. Sometimes at night you may be able to see volcanic activity in the crater, such as glowing rocks spitting out thousands of shooting stars in the sky.

Baños is well known for its thermal baths and the many waterfalls that you will pass on your way to the jungle.

Day 1
We will leave from Quito through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, a valley that crosses the middle of the Andes between many volcanoes.

We will continue to the center of the country through little indian villages where we can visit Indian Markets such as Saquisili or Latacunga where the indigenous people have kept their traditions and cultural roots since the pre-inca times.

Day 2
After breakfast we will follow the route of the waterfalls to visit the spectacular cascade known as Pailon del Diablo and explore the surrounding area.

You can bike along this route, or if you prefer you can travel by car or bus.

Leaving Baños behind, we will visit a colonial Hacienda where we will have lunch, returning afterwards to Quito.

Here was a time when the Ecuadorean economy depended on the train transportation and many towns grew along the railroad. Those were romantic times that will remind in our minds. Today, we have the chance to take a ride into the past and reminisce those days by getting on board, on what it was considered "The most difficult railway in the world" as it was called at that time. The idea was to have a railroad to connect the Pacific Ocean with the Highlands in the Andes at an altitude of 12000 feet (4000m) at its highest point, but there was a big obstacle; a perpendicular wall of rock to defeat before accomplish this goal. A zigzag was carved out of the rock which allowed the train to advance in a back and forth pattern. Using this pattern helped reach the necessary height where the town of Alausi is located. This point was called the Devil''s Nose since many lives were lost in the construction.

Day 1
We will leave from Quito through the Avenue of the Volcanoes. It is a valley surrounding by volcanoes, many snowcapped, in the Andes. We will continue passing through little Indian villages where we can visit Indian markets that keep their traditions and cultural roots since the pre-Inca times.
At our arrival, we will stay in Riobamba and rest.

 

Day 2
Early wake up. We will enjoy a good breakfast and then get on board on the Trans-Andean Train. Once on board you have the option to ride on the top of the train or inside the passenger cars. Most of the visitors prefer to go on top since the view and the excitement of riding on top is safe and an unforgettable experience. This day promises to be unique.
We will continue to Cuenca for a deserving break after a day full of adventure and thrills.

 

Day 3
This day we will visit the newest World Cultural Heritage site and pride of the Ecuadorian people for being the most charming and peaceful city in Ecuador. Cuenca is definitely the city with the most Spanish legacy in its architecture, cobblestone streets, winding rivers, shining church domes, parks and gardens. This day will be also a good chance to visit Ingapirca, an archeological complex built by the Incas for religious, administrative purposes and as a fortress.

 

Day 4
After breakfast, we will return having good memories of this unforgettable journey by taking a short flight that promise a good view of the Andes.
You will be transferred to your hotel.

Located in the southern Ecuadorian highlands, the highlights in Cuenca are their fine handicrafts stores, the famous Panama hat factories, the finest gold and silver filigree jewelry, ceramics and flower markets.

Day 1
We will leave from Quito and travel through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, a valley that crosses the Andes and is surrounded by many volcanoes. We will continue to the center of the country through little Indian villages where we can visit Indian Markets where the Indigenous inhabitants still keep their traditions and cultural roots since the pre-Inca times. We will stay in Riobamba and rest for the remainder of the day.

 *Day 2 - Option 1
Leaving Riobamba after breakfast we will continue south and visit Ingapirca (a Quichua word that means "Inca stone wall"). It is a full day trip to the archeological complex built by the Incas as a fortress that was also used for religious and administrative needs. Short walks can be done around the complex where you can see the roofless fortification, temples and terraces. You can visit the Inca Face, a natural formation in a big rock which some people believe was man made.

We will continue our trip to Cuenca and rest in the city after a day full of adventure.

*Day 2 - Option 2
After an early wake up we will enjoy a good breakfast before boarding the Trans-Andean Train. Once on board you have the option to ride safely on the roof of the passenger cars! We will arrive in Cuenca and rest after a day of adventure and thrills...

Day 3
On this day, we will take a city tour around Cuenca, considered to have the most Spanish legacy in its architecture, cobblestone streets, winding rivers, shining church domes, parks and gardens. After lunch, we will visit the village of Chordeleg. We will browse through the finest gold and silver jewelry stores; a good chance for shopping.

Day 4
After breakfast, we will return to Quito with good memories of this unforgettable journey by taking a short flight that promises a good view of the Andes. You will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 1
Our adventure starts in Quito heading north. Along the way we will stop in the little town of Calderon to take a look at where bread dough figurines are made. Once on the road we will continue to Cayambe crossing the equator line and making a brief stop to have a picture in the very place where the earth is divided into two hemispheres.

At our arrival, we will spend time at the Indian market. Later, we enjoy lunch at a colonial hacienda or country inn.

In the afternoon we will visit the leather market in Cotacachi, and visit Quicocha lake, an extinct volcano where mother nature has created a lake inside its crater, this site is part of the Cotacachi-Cayapas ecological reserve.

Day 1
Our adventure starts in Quito from where we will head northwest. We will go through the western range of the Ecuadorian Andes.

Along the way, we will see the different changes of weather and vegetation while descending the mountain range.

Suddenly the warm air will greet us at Bellavista or Maquipucuna reserves, where we will have time to relax in hammocks and enjoy the magnificent view of the cloud forest. If you prefer you can explore the area closer.

Day 2

We will continue surrounding the Cotopaxi volcano on dirt roads until arrive to our destination, views and landscapes promise to be unique. Welcome cocktail and guest accommodation, hacienda tour, lunch will be serve and free afternoon for acclimatization, optional light hikes in the area to discover wild life. Dinner and relax time by the fire place.

 

Day 2
Optional cow milking tour; breakfast and departure to a unique exotic site, with a microclimate association with dense forest, about a 45 m. high (149 feet) waterfall and mountain shelter. The Sebretana Waterfall is one of the loveliest sites of the Hacienda, campsite lunch. Return to the ranch house via the magnificent cliffs of Vicious Valley''s River, a site highly prized by photographers. At this site you can take pictures at the western edge of the vast Amazon Basin and the imposing river, which runs through mountains down to the tropical rain forest to finally flow in the Amazon. When the sky is clear, you can photograph Andean Condors, white-tailed deer, eagles, hawks, and moorland wolves. Return and dinner.

 

Day 3
Breakfast, drive to special sightseeing places. Optional fishing and other activities. Fare well lunch, We will return in the afternoon after experienced the Andes life style and had a good time. The return promise to be as excited as it was before.
